According to the partnership agreement, this sequence shows various hands, many of them including a 5-card Heart suit. If this is the partnerhip agreement, then the opener will make this assumption. He will then bid 2 Hearts with only a doubleton.
The responder may end the bidding at this point, or he may continue with:

Immediate bids of 2 Spades or 3 Clubs by responder are similar but weaker.
